swim wear model: don't forget classical (aka greco roman) wrestling. i think the reason that you see more freestyle take downs is because of the strong folk wrestling tradition in (parts) of the usa. title ix has done a number of wrestling but most only have access to folk (or maybe freestyle). the europeans and former soviet nations do a lot more classical wrestling. so it's not that takedowns/big throws can't happen with out the gi. so much as most people do not train to do them. i study bjj and judo, but my standup grappling game is 100% judo. that means when the gi comes off i prefer an underhook/clinch game over shooting. i really think it's a personal perference. as for 'fight trunks' that evolved because of the rules of mma events. basically you're correct, if you wear anything it can be grabbed and possibily used against you so wear as little as possible. tito wears 'normal shorts' so we don't have to follow the model of european swim suits :) boxers fight topless and no one really cares, but again much less 'form fitting' trunks...
swim wear model: i am travelling throughout france this summer and have some questions with regards to swim wear. i have been informed that many swimming pools throughout france actually ban swimming shorts on h&s grounds and that speedo style briefs are mandatory. is someone telling me a load of tripe in an effort to get me to feel like an idiot wearing speedos throughout my model model holiday or is it in fact true?
swim wear model: in message , edinburgh naturist swim club writes imo, demanding that the kids be naked may not be the best way forward, model and afaicr, is contrary to the bn child protection guidelines. i believe that the guidelines suggest that the choice should be with the family (and primarily with the child). almost invariably small children have no inhibitions about nudity but some older ones do. in the three swims that i attend it has long been the policy to leave such decisions to the family. surely it is better for all concerned to have a family with a thirteen-year-old in swim wear than lose that family.
