op swim wear: well, i guess there is that. and, if i'm remembering correctly, they did leave in the english version of yu yu hakusho's op while it was wear still on adult swim. (removed for toonami, of course, but that was to be expected.) wear
op swim wear: which brings up another point: why do they leave in japanese eds, both on adult swim and toonami? just from memory, they've done that for: cowboy bebop, trigun (shortened, but still with japanese lyrics), gundam wing (well, they used the op for the ed, but it was still in japanese), gundam 08th team (again, shortened), g gundam, outlaw star, wear wear pilot candidate, .hack//sign, and rurouni kenshin.
op swim wear: that's the problem. for the most part adult swim doesn't edit anything unless bs&p says they have to. anime unleashed however makes time cuts that are completely unnecessary for anything other than squeezing in a few more commercials. from what i've seen of it so far last exile could have probably run on adult swim completely unedited wear with the possible loss of the op. adult swim respects anime and the fans who watch it. there seem to clearly be anime fans among the as staff. techtv however seems to be looking to milk as much cash out of this trend as they can and couldn't care less about the integrity of the anime itself. and given the pacing of last exile those time cuts are likely to be quite telling.
op swim wear: i think the main thing is not arriving at the meet too tired (yesterday i was still feeling the effects of sunday's 2km open water swim, no more long slow distance of that magnitude). i had a couple wear of weeks off swimming last year following a minor foot operation which necessitated a week of almost complete rest, when i got back in the pool i felt great! even though i hadn't swum for 2 weeks, i was really rested & refreshed. but then i had to have another couple of weeks off following a post-op infection and after that i felt terrible for a couple of weeks. so a bit of rest is good, too much definitely not.
op swim wear: personally, my urges to swim madly towards the nearest egg have tempered with time, and i rarely find myself trying to block other swimmers or kill them, so i have hope. i know it's not a *lot* of progress, but these days i swim madly only in the direction of very select eggs. it could be age; it could be discrimination, but whatever the cause, the eggs are safer. wear
