girls swim wear: in my youth, swimming caps were required for girls. these were made of thick rubber, fit very tightly, and gave me terrific headaches. the rationale was that girls' long hair would clog the filters. then came the sixties, and some boys started wearing long hair, and the swimming cap requirement suddenly was dropped for everyone. i was grateful, but also confused.
girls swim wear: as far as children go - when i was a child, both boys and girls just wore swim trunks. it was considered a bit silly to have a bra top for a toddler - what's up there to look at when they are that age? of course in those days, adult men had to wear tops at some beaches - they couldn't go topless. (my dad wore a sleeveless t-shirt)
girls swim wear: well, they have classes for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, which adds up to 40 hours. that doesn't include time for lesson planning, grading homework, writing tests, or tutoring students who need more help. it also doesn't incude things that many teachers do, such as leading extracurricular activities. my senior year in highschool, i had morning wear swim practice starting at 5:30 am and afternoon practice ending at 5:00 pm. my coach had to be there that whole time, too, and that excludes the extra long days when we had a meet. the big difference is that he had to do that for two seasons (colorado had separate boys and girls swim seasons) while i only had to do it for one. wear
girls swim wear: most of my girls swim in poly suits. they're a little more expensive ($50-70?) but they last a year+ training 16+ hours a week in the water. they do have a tendency to rub, so spend another couple of bucks on some vaseline too...but a good buy from what i can tell. wear
girls swim wear: get use of a school bus and take the class out driving with balloons down the center isle, some hanging from the roof with just air, some with water or other weights .... and helium,hydrogen and methane ones attached to the floor... have the driver accelerate, decelerate and drive at constant speeds with the student wear measuring deflections at assorted velocities logged by an observer up front watching the speedo...... not the ones on the girls swim team... wear
