baby swim wear: the problem is that by 6 months any innate swimming abilities will have just about worn off, leading to the (possibly) self-fulfilling prediction that babies do indeed ingest water, risk drowning, etc. *if* human babies have any unusual abilities at birth, it would be expected that they would wear off if unused but a baby who swims regularly from birth might very well be less at risk from drowning, water ingestion, etc.
baby swim wear: which i find interesting. wouldn't you expect them to then recommend not using car seats, since they give a false senses of security or a million other things. it sounded odd to me at the time - i mean, recommending parents realize young children can't really be safe in the water by themselves is a wonderful idea. saying the kids shouldn't take those swim classes seems to go a bit far. my daughter *loved* the daddy/baby swim class she took when she was under a year, but we sure weren't going to just drop her in the pool to see if she'd float. :) we stopped by the time she was 1, then we went through a long time where she was terrified of pools from about 2-3 years (fortunately, she's gotten over it :)). now that's she's 4.5, she's beginning to learn how to swim, though i *still* don't think she's safe in the water without constant arms-length away supervision. wear
baby swim wear: we fill our days with activities ... tuesday morning, we go for a walk or have a gab session with some moms i met at a new mom's group. wednesday morning is baby yoga. thursday my sis comes over and plays with babe. friday we are going to mom and baby swim in the afternoon. wear
baby swim wear: i have a great one of dd sitting on her potty seat looking at a book. :d i bring that out when her friends visit. i was also a chaperone for one of her field trips. some kids were getting silly in the back of the bus by singing, "the wheels on the bus". i was sitting behind the boy she had a crush on. i wear called over to chelsea and said, "when you were in baby swim class, this was your favorite song." beg... he had a lot of fun with that info.
baby swim wear: locks of love? i just read an article that said 6 inches is wear enough. allyson is going to cut off her hair (in preparation for baby swim classes in january), but i don't think she'd got for 10 inches gone.
